Turning the Cyl out including the fins
Boring the cyl for a press fit on the sleave.
I have missplaced some pictures here as far as the drilling of the cyl bolt holes, parting off the cyl and making the sleeve, If i can locate these I will add them in, soory for this.
This series of pictures shows the steps taken to create the leggs for this motor. First thing was to spot drill all the holes, Then drill to correct size, next using an endmill to cut the contour of the legg. The last photo shows the finished piece. I Have built an auto tool changer based on
Joe Vicars plans
wich works great. You can purchase these plans directly from his website. You can see more on the tool changer in the Machine shop section of this website. Using the toolchanger I only had to stop once and change from the outer clamps to the bolts and continue, all the tools were on the rotary changer head and ready for use.
