2004 Holiday Nut Cracker Being somewhat sentimental in my years, I decided to do somthing a little different this year. I wanted to create Christmas gifts utilizing my talents and hobbies. After a great deal of searching I came up with these little Nut Crackers. These are based on an origial design of the late Rudy Kouhoupt. You will be able to see the process I used to create these little gems.

The first step was to create some patterns for the top and base that could be used to make the castings.

No your eyes are not going bad the picture is blury. The patterns were then rammed up in the sand awaiting the hot metal.

Here are Three of them just after pouring. Then removed from the sand.
